I believe it’s no one’s fault.
But you are responsible.
I believe it’s more helpful to take responsibility than it it to place blame.
By placing blame we sometimes let the past dictate our future.
We say we can’t do X because of our past.
I believe it is more hopeful, forward-looking to instead assume responsibility.
It means that regardless of where we are, we can still hope to do X.
We are always in control of our reactions to the world around us.
Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.
